I recently had the opportunity to play two shows in a row with Hope for the Hollow. The first was opening for Slaves and Escape the Fate in Cleveland, OH. Aside from the lack of stage space from the backline, the show was packed and we had a blast. I even got to watch the drummer of my other band, Titans in Time, fill in for the opening band, Complexions.
The second show was in Bluffton, Indiana, at a street fair. We opened the show on a much larger stage for Mr. Speed, a KISS tribute band. I have never paid much attention to KISS, but from what I know and can tell, Mr. Speed did an amazing job paying attention to the details, from the guitar tones, to the looks, and more. The crowd really dug our set, but you could tell they LOVED Mr. Speed.
On the trip we got to stop at Sweetwater, which was amazing. I love browsing their huge selection and talking with the salespeople about new gear. I could spend days there learning about the gear, playing mini golf, and enjoying the food, especially with the gear nerds in Hope for the Hollow.
Our set in Indiana was 90 minutes, filled with covers and Hope for the Hollow originals. The video below is from the cover of Velvet Revolver’s Slither.
